Description
An RGB LED is effectively three individual LEDs (Red, Green, and Blue) combined into a single plastic package. By mixing these three primary colors at different brightness levels, you can create almost any color imaginable—just like the pixels on a phone or TV screen.
Pin Description
A standard through-hole RGB LED has 4 pins. You can identify which pin is which by looking at their length and position.
Two Important Types
Before you connect an RGB LED to your project, you must know if it is Common Cathode or Common Anode. They look identical but are wired differently
